Well I think with change comes resistance and it did take a good amount of time for people to acclimate to digital methods of music. There may also be sentiment that digital art is directly responsible for mass reproduction and distribution at very low cost when it fact it is the lowered cost and growing availability of printing machines and computers that resulted in such a thing. There will always be purists and traditionalists and that is fine by me I have utmost respect for the creative process, in all its methodologies. I have to admit, if I sat in front of a bare canvas today, I would hardly know what to do with myself which leads to much admiration for the traditional easel and palette technique.
